Element Correspondences

Earth:

The trees, roots, herbs, fruits, and all other things grown above and below the soil, the soil itself. Its bounty is manifested in the fruits, vegetables and grains that manifest on our table as the drinks, seasonings, and medicines. It is the never failing ability of the land to produce our food. As such its esssence is stability, consistancy and substance, and all that is firm and cirtain. It is truth, honor, and justice. It is the physical world and the study of herbalism.

Air:

The non-physical world, the unseen. Air is made manifest in the sky that surrounds the physical earth, and provides individual sustanance to the creatures of the earth at each breath. It is wind, smell, thought and knowledge, study and beauty, that which arises the first concept of artistic pursuit. The source of inspiration and poetry.

Fire:

It is seen in the sun, the light of the moon and stars. Barely material in manifestation, fire is the element of transition and change, drive and determination that lies behind both progress and aggression. It is passion, war, vengeance, and victory. It is warmth, movement, and white-hot fury. It may manifest either as a gentle hearth-fire and warm romance, or as a blaze of a volcano and primal lust.

Water:

It manifests as the sea and the dark mystery that resides within its depths. It is the unseen mysteries that lies beyond in the land of death, the wonder of universal love as reflected in the expansiveness of the ocean. It is the kingdom of intuition and psychic revelation. It is the great equalizer, and kingdom of deep power and unending expanse.
