~*Basics*~
Name: Pick a name, duh. If you need a place to get some names, my personal favorites are here or hereIf your characters Spanish, do not give em the last names Ortega, Gomez, Sanchez, Hidalgo, Montoya, or the like, okay?
Meaning: This is a no-brainer. What does what you picked as a name mean?
Age: Between 10-14please.
Gender: Male or Female. Only male or female.
DOB: It better tie-in with their personality, or else you better explain in good detail.
Astrological Sign: I know every Zodiac sign and the dates it presides over. Youve been forewarned.
Blood Type: I also know the character traits for blood-type. But this one you can break the rules on. I do all the time.
Eyes: You can have them any color. Just a note, I might make you change the eye color if there are too many that have something along the lines of they change to gray when shes mad, black when shes really mad, and blue when shes calm. Yes, I know, Ive done that beforehehe.
Hair: Color, length, and style, por favor.
Build: This is a basic run-down of outward appearance. Its one of the free-for-all categories. Just dont make your character perfect.
Height: Since this is a North American RPG, they can be any height you deem fit.
~*Favorites*~
Subject: What subject does your character really and truly love?
Food: Ditto, only food.
Color: Ditto, only color. Note this should correspond in some way to the color of the crest. NO MORE BLUE. There, that get your attention? I believe we have every shade of blue covered now.
Gemstone: This should correspond with the color of the crest in some way also.
~*Least Favorites*~
Subject: What subject does your character fall asleep during? And if there is none, there better be a very good explination as to why.
Food: This should probably also be what your character allergic is to. Also, dont say carrots or something like that. Be creative. Be daring. Be like me (God help you if you actually want to be like me)
Color: This should correspond to another Crest Bearers color. Show me that youre paying attention, please. This will allow me to see what type of person your character usually doesnt get along with.
Gemstone: This should also correspond with aforementioned color.
~*Persona*~
A persona is a personality. Go in-depth. Show me a three-dimensional human, not some character you whipped up in five minutes. Give me quirks, bad habits, anything but So-and-so is a happy person.
~*Homeland Security*~
Home-state/home-province: Where do they live? Make sure you look over all the characters before you choose. That way we dont have fifteen people from California or Massachusetts, or some other place
Primary Language: What language did your character know; what is spoken in your characters house-hold? If its English, put English, but many Americans were spoken to in another language in their home. Including me, your loving GM. I get yelled at in Swedish. And I live in New England.
Secondary Language: Usually American kids can speak Spanish, French, Latin, or Japanese (yes, at my old school we learned Japanese). Give me something like that. If your characters from Mexico, it may be English, but also give me something else. Please don't use Japanese anymore, most characters can speak it in the RPG so far.
~*Strengths*~
What is your character good at? And not too many video game and/or sports fanatics, please!
~*Weaknesses*~
What are those flaws that can make your character vulnerable and human?
~*Hobbies*~
What do they do in their spare time? Sit around and watch the dust particles fly around in the air? Send IMs? Try to take over the free world?
~*Family*~
Who does your character live with? Please also give job descriptions, too, if a family member has one. Note that these are your NPCs, so you might as well go as in-depth as you feel comfortable. Just so you know where your character and his/her family stand. Also put how the relationship with your character is; a general description to better affiliate the general public with your character.
~*Music*~
Image Song: A song that makes you think of your character
Artist:
~*Crest Bearer Info*~
Crest: Which crest does your character hold? Make sure to check and see if that crest hasnt already been taken.
Color: In the Rules/Things to Know section, there is a list of the Crests and their corresponding colors from Season One. It's at the bottom of this page.
Crest Bearer Armor: What does this character, this Crest Bearer to be, wear to protect themselves? They cant very well plod around the Digital World in a pair of boxers and say theyre wearing something. That wont protect them from attack. Even if its a reinforced toga itll do better.
Crest Bearer Weapon: No damsel in distress business. The Crest Bearers have to protect themselves. Theres a digital firewall after them thats bent on destroying them and getting their crests before they can purify them. I dont think a group of teens and some digital animals can pull that off. No firearms.
~*Digimon*~
Baby: This is the form a digimon will take after they have digivolved into Firewall, Mega, or Sustained for the first time.
Name- None that are used in the TV show.
Appearance- What does this baby look like? Note that a babys usually a colored blob with huge eyes. You can use that stereotypical baby-digimon appearance if youd like.
In-training: This form is the one that a digimon is in when they first appear during the run of this RPG. They will go to it after digivolving to Ultimate for the first time.
Name- None that are used in the TV show.
Appearance- This lil guy usually looks like anything you want. This is where your digimon creative juices get to flow.
Rookie: A digimon is in this form most often. Its the one that regains energy fastest, and the one that, although weak, can at least attack if need be. Sometimes rookies are the first to talk, too. A rookie can digivolve into either a Champion or a Mega, depending upon how much experience it has gained.
Name- None that are used in the original TV show
Appearance- No cats, no dogs. Something a little more creative, please. Also, please keep wild dog creatures to a minimum, also wild cat creatures. We already have a cyote, a fox, and a tiger.
Attack One- Only attack in this form. I know they usually have two, but since its a basic form, it only needs a basic attack.
Champion: Usually used the most, besides Rookie, because its the highest digivolution for so long. A champion is strong, but not strong enough to defeat Ultimates.
Name- None that are used in the original TV show
Appearance- Ditto to the above "appearance" comment
Attack One:
Attack Two: Optional
Ultimate: An Ultimate is the highest form the digimon get in S1. We get way higher here. An Ultimate cant (easily) be defeated by a Champion, and an Ultimate cant defeat a Mega.
Name- None that are used in the original TV show
Appearance- Ditto to 'rookie'
Attack One:
Attack Two:
Mega: A mega is a warped digivolution of a Rookie. Shown in S1 as the highest level of digivolution, a Mega cannot be defeated by an Ultimate. In turn, a Mega cannot defeat a Firewall.
Name- None that are used in the original TV show
Appearance: Ditto to 'rookie', plus no angels. It's been overused in the show alone. If you want a winged creature, then use like a pegasus or something. ^^'
Attack One:
Attack Two:
Attack Three: Optional.
Firewall: A firewall digivolution can only happen if two DTUs are hooked together and can harness the power of their corresponding crest. This can only happen once the two Crest Bearers whose own crests correspond can create a bond of friendship or love. Once Firewall is reached for the first time, it can be reached all the time. A firewall can not be defeated by a Mega and in turn cannot defeat a Sustained. If you are going for a Crest Destroyer, then the crest you go from is Kindness.
Name- None from the original TV show
Appearance- Ditto to Mega
Attack One:
Attack Two:
Attack Three:
Sustained: The supposed form of Kleshmon. Sustained is reached when a Firewall and a Crest Bearer are in-synch with each other and are freely willing to join. This can only be reached after the crests are purified. In sustained, there are no attacks. The power of ones will is expressed in beam-form through the DTU. Kleshmon uses the firewall itself.
Name- None from the original TV show
Appearance- Humanoid, please.
~*Writing Sample*~
How did your character find his or her DTU? Put it in past tense and make it at the very least 3 paragraphs long. Please end it with Kismet saying something along the lines of "You have awakened the crest of such-and-such". Most of the applications end with or have that in them, but just reinforcing it. If you don't understand, go to the characters section and read one or two of the taken characters' profiles. I kept the Writing Samples up for just that purpose. Write like a post with dialouge, character reactions, and personal thoughts, and please write in third person. Also express your character's role in Honneur's school food-web (popular, dormant, geek, punk, rebel, etc., etc.)
If you want a Crest Destroyer, have Kleshmon command them to come to the Digital World "at once".
And youre done!
