| Living in a complex society, people spend more time working outside (working, studying, shopping, and eating). It is rare to have breakfast or dinner at home with family. We can see that children spend their breakfast time in car and family spend their dinner time at fast food restaurants instead. From the information of Chicago: National Restaurant Association, February 1975, all family without children tend to eat less frequently at fast food units than do family with children. That means nutritious foods have been replaced by the new food ? Fast food. In rush hours, fast food seems to be a good choice that can perfectly respond to human needs. It comprises of anything that is quick, tasty, convenient, and fashionable. In addition, our culture is structured to foster poor eating habits. Television commercials and supermarkets are propagating a wide variety of enticing fast food, attractive package and often tagged with a tempting sop. That is why it seems to have engulfed in every age: every age and the newest entrants are children. Vast number of children are not eating good food, wholesome foods as nature provided them but are living off of coke and candy, McDonald?s and other fast foods that have less or no nutrition. And these same kids are also spending hours in front of video games, which are causing behavioral problems as well. Fast food and hypnotic video game go hand in hand. What about Thai children? Are they the newest entrants of fast food? What do they think about fast food? We would like to find out of what they think about fast food; therefore, we are going on about this topic, and finally the topic become our final project. All are what we got from our studies. |
