Have you ever wondered what children always order when they go to fast food restaurants?
These are opinions from 70 children that we interviewed at The Children?s Discovery Museum Bangkok, Thailand.Their age are between 4-13 years old.
From an interviewing, we found that:
45% of children like to order fried chicken,
34% like to order French fried and
21% like to order Hamburger.
The reason for eating that meals because they think fast food is delicious, and its taste is different from what they eat every day. However, when we asked them to choose between fast food and Thai nutritious food, especially the meals that made by their parents, all most every children choose Thai foods because they think it is more delicious and healthier. Besides, they can eat it at their home. Advertisements are also effect on their opinion as children want to try new things. Most of parents let their children eat fast food under the condition that the children can eat once a week or once a month, depending on each family. However, they do not only order food, they also order beverage like soda, which has less nutrition, and as we know that is causes some health?s problems.
