One of Johnson's biggest influences was her band director, Mr. Larry Bennett. "He was really hard on me at times when it came to practicing and performing, but I will have to admit, I did deserve a swift kick in the butt every now and then, and he was more than willing to do it. ;)" Johnson states one of her greatest memories from her past "musical" experience was: "I had many wonderful memories but I think the one I will always remember is directing my piece 'Anima Nexus' for the spring concert and receiving a standing ovation from both the audience and the band. At that time I knew I was a composer, and that I have some great friends behind me all the way." Johnson's future plans includes: "I hope to receive my degree in composition and performance first, then move to England and play my tuba, write my music and try to survive. But don't tell my parents! If they knew I wanted to work abroad it would break their hearts. ;)" |
