Welcome to my Web site!Hello all, and welcome to my page. My name is Michael Chih-Chien Kuo, [郭志謙] and I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba [see Map]. Hehe... this might be weird but first take a guess who is the most important person in my life.... Yes, it is Christ. As a simple guy living in this not-so-simple world, I can testify that it is wonderful to know such a marvelous Person. A Brief Bio: I moved to Winnipeg about 7 years ago. Fort Richmond Collegiate was the high school I attended. It took me a while to get used to the high school and the culture in Canada. High school ended pretty nicely for me. I in deed enjoyed it. I considered going somewhere else for school, but the Lord seemed to be wanting me to stay here. So I settled on the University of Manitoba for school. I started out there as a University 1 student. For those people who know me, you would think that I am more of the engineering or science type-of-guy. However, that was not the field I studied. After much prayer and fellowship on this matter of career, I felt it was the Lord's leading to try physical and occupational therapy. So I studied Occupational Therapy at the University of Manitoba. I have one brother one year younger than me in the Physical therapy program. Church life was wonderful. On weekdays, we had regular home meetings at saints' homes. On Saturday nights, there was a college/gospel meeting at homes/campus and also on Sunday, Lord's table [and prophesying] meeting. I used to serve the high schoolers and junior highers on rotation on Sundays. My brother and I were responsible for editing church's weekly newsletter. During school time, brothers also gathered together at my house to read a book entitled Life Lessons once a week. As far as work experience goes, my first real job was at the Parkview place. Stuff I did there was mostly doing the Range of Motion and Walking programs, assessing residents' level of independence, and providing and fixing equipment. I am now working for a Rehab company near Seattle. Use this link to download my resume and see my personal and/or professional experiences. Believe it or not, I think I do have an artistic side. I play around a little bit with 3D imaging and AutoCAD. Mainly, though, I enjoy art rather than producing it. ;-> I also play guitar & sports for relaxation. I hope I haven't shed too much light on myself... & I hope that this gives you an idea of my history. |
