CHICS@FSU accepts all individuals who have an interest in serving their community. Contrary to the misconceptions, CHICS is not an all-female organization. There is no application process for CHICS@FSU, and no previous service experience is required.
Membership Requirements:
1. You must pay dues (listed below)
2. You must complete 15 hours of community service while you are in CHICS@FSU.
3. You must show your commitment to CHICS@FSU. This is a very important requirement that we ask of you. If you sign up for an event please make sure that you are actually at the event, if for some reason you cannot make it, PLEASE make sure to let us know.
C.H.I.C.S. DUES:
New Members - $40.00
Old Members- $25.00
Dues must be paid by the due date or a $5 late fee will be assessed. Arrangements for payment options can be made with the treasurer.
For every new member you bring to CHICS, you receive $5 off your membership dues & 1 service hr. for every additional member, so bring a friend!!
What do dues pay for?
Membership fees all go to the benefit of our members. Fees cover the cost of socials over the course of the semester, as well as the awards banquet at the culmination of the semester. Dues for new members also include payment for your official CHICS t-shirt.
How do I become involved?
Service projects are available every week! Please feel free to stop in to a meeting, Wednesdays in 311D of the Union at 7pm (unless otherwise noted) , to hear about our upcoming projects & socials. If you cannot attend a meeting, contact us at [email protected] to join our mailing list and receive regular updates about our events.
