WE WANT ... |
To stop the emigration process of children from the county of Emeralds toward other places of the Ecuador with the consequent negative situation of bigger number of street children. Through programs that favor the school, the family linking, the labor training, the practice of values, etc. we try to stop this process. |

ESTRATEGIC OBJECTIVE |
To offer to the children in situations of high risk an integral educational proposal that improves their situation of life, favoring the development of their capacities and potentialities. |

The Educational Proposal of the Salesian Project in
Esmeraldas follows the same programmatic axes that are established in all the Salesian Projects of the country: 1) preventive attention in the street 2) opportune welcome and socio-familiar Reinsertion 3) insert and school reinforcement 4) technician-handmade training 5) formation in values 6) medical and psychological attention |

History |
The Salesian Project began in Emeralds in 1996, in the neighborhoods located on the bank of the Esmeraldas river, neighborhoods with a strong social deterioration. |

Addressees |
The addressees are children, adolescents and youths (8-16 years) that are in situations of serious risk due to the negative street process in which they are involved. |
