Chico Grade A Couch Potato
Omni Chico - Whelped 2/4/90 (Jock's Steeler - Omni Schnapps) Chico began his career at The Woodlands in Kansas City. From the beginning everyone knew he was going to be a fun one to watch. He won his schooling races easily and moved up the grade ladder quickly, remaining in Grade A for most of his career. My "shy guy" came home in April of 1994.

Chico was a very shy guy. We visited his kennel every week to give love and milkbones. He would hide in the back of his crate, trying to be ignored. But we loved him anyway, and he came to trust us after almost six months. Shyness is usually a genetic trait. Love and patience can overcome the shyness, and it's worth every minute.

Not many greyhounds sit...Chico loves to sit, and rides in the car the same way.
Chico is a funny, happy boy today, and shyness is only a memory.

My beautiful boy crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 11, 2004. In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be playing. And so it will be as if all the stars were playing when you look at the sky at night. And when your sorrow is comforted you will be content that you have known me. You will always be my friend, and I yours.
