HELLO ALPO |
I met Alpo when he was just 15 months old. He came into Sky's the Limit Kennel with his two sweet sisters, Cutie Pie and Darlin, after a long ride from their home in Florida. They had all been sick on the hauler from Oklahoma and were very scared. Alpo wouldn't eat for days and I sat in his crate hand feeding him, encouraging him to eat again. It was love at first sight. |

Looks pretty intense, doesn't he? I'll share the secret of the "ears up at attention" look a bit later. |

These shots were taken the day we brought Alpo to the adoption kennel to wait for his visit to the vet. Shhhhh don't tell ALPO. |

Big Black Dog! |
When I first told my friend Sue, who lives in Colorado, about Alpo she officially named him "Big Black Dog". It's been the source of many laughs as we have shared email over the last year. Alpo's owners are wonderful people who share my love for these greyhounds. Over a year ago Esther said he would be mine. Alpo was a very good racer, spending most of his career in Grade A. His next race will be to my couch! |

This is the first time the "stuffie" has actually been captured in a picture. Look at those ears! This would have been a GREYT picture. |
