One night, Kelly and Charlie were talking on the phone, and they were just having a random conversation. They do this a lot, you see, and they'll just randomly start talking about off the wall things...but they're not really random, because there was a connection between it and what they were talking about before! Like this conversation that happened:
Charlie: ...yeah, but I have a short attention span...*laughs*
Kelly: *laughs*...umm, alright...
C: Ooh, look, a bird!
K: *laughs*...wait! Birds don't fly at night!
C: Oh yeah, huh! Darn!
K: Oh, wait...owls do! *laughs*
C: That's right! Oh...I was gonna say that bats do, too...but bats aren't birds! *laughs*
K: Nope, they're mammals!
C: Yay! I was right!
K: *laughs* Gold star for you, hun!
C: And a scratch-n-sniff sticker!
K: Ok, and a scratch-n-sniff sticker, too! Hey...in elementary school, did you ever use those markers that you'd color with and then smell something? Like...if you were coloring with a purple one, you'd smell grapes...
C: Yeah! I loved those markers!
K: I miss those markers. I wanna get some of them! Hmm..I wonder what their name is...
C: I dunno... Where would you even go to get them?
K: They'd probably have them in bulk at the teacher's supply stores.
C: So you could go and get a bunch of them, all at once!
K: Yup, that's right!
Now, that was just a portion...a small portion...of that conversation. Can you see why it was random? But it does make for interesting, and quite hilarious, conversation.
Moral of the Story: Hey...if you end up getting in random conversations with people, go with it! Not only is it fun, but you'll have something to remember and laugh about later on! Not only that...but it makes you look so incredibly dorky when you can have random conversation...and dorkiness is cool! Embrace your inner dork...join us in having random converstaions!
