You know how it's said that geniuses are eccentric people? Well, this was the case for Tree. He was really smart, but he was crazy as a loon, too. This guy would talk to himself... Well, that's a little normal; we all talk to ourselves...say things like, "oh, how could I be so stupid?" and mutter to yourself... But he answered himself, too. He would have full-on conversations with himself. Now, if that doesn't make you crazy, then I don't know what does.
Now, he'd also act really weird if he would be with a group, giving a presentation. If someone said something, he'd nod his head in agreement...and make a side comment to himself. No one really understood Tree, but then, most people were afraid to even try. To this day, Kelly and Jennifer don't understand him, nor do they want to try to. The way they see it, he's beyond the reach that anyone's help could give him...and hey, he'll always be there for himself, right?
Moral of the Story: If anyone ever comes across anyone like this, don't try to help the person; they're beyond your reach. They might as well be in the loony bin, because then there would be people there to help them. Don't try to be the hero and save the lost mind; just chalk it to experience, say that you have been able to meet a person like that, and move on. Hey, they may be a great person and you may want to try to help them, but it's the best for both parties if you don't. (I speak from experience. :))
