Hello and welcome to my Miniature page. I am Marie. This page was created for my mini projects. Creating miniatures is something I am new to, but I'm getting the hang of it... and it's very addictive!
I started my first project when I decided to make something special for my sister's birthday. It was actually my friend Stella's idea to make my sister a gift roombox. You can see her dollhouses and miniatures by clicking on this link::
Stello's Mini Stuff.
I decided on making a miniature bar for my sister. I'm making it look like an actual bar she frequently visits. Though she's not really into miniatures, I think she'll like what I'm preparing for her.
A work in progress...
This is the finished counter. Painted black with sequins along the front to simulate lights.
This will be the front of the counter. It was made with 3/4" wide and 5 3/4" long natural wooden craft sticks.
I used Tacky Glue to glue the sticks together.
I glued another craft stick on the top to make the countertop.
Finished product.
The beginning of two lampshades.
I used paper plates for these. My husband drew a pattern on the paper, cut it, and folded it in the shape of the lamp shade
I painted the lampshades red, with acrylic paint. I then hot glued lace to the lampshades. That's my husband Carlos' pinky modeling the finished lampshade.
Finished lamps
For the lamps I used match sticks, painted black. I glued some black beads on the stick.. The base is made of two ends of the craft sticks. Cut, rounded, and glued together. I then finished them with a coat of clear nail polish.
This is a picture of the bar
I printed out the picture and it will go in the background, behind the counter.
More snapshots...
The counter and accessories will go in a 5" x 7" picture frame. I'm building a box (walls, floor, and ceiling) to make a room. I'll have some pictures of that as soon as I get better lighting in this room.
