A Mayan Temple - the Nunnery at Uxmal is an exact copy of a temple in far away Yucatan, at least ten centuries old. Its walls are covered with eleaborate designs, huge mask heads & great serpents carved in stone. The Mayas, without mechanical equipment, built great cities in stone, used metals, especially gold for ornaments, and made beautiful mosaics & lovely wood carvings.
