The Travel & Transportation Building is constructed on the principle of a suspended bridge. No pillars, columns, or arches support in from below but depends on cables to carry the load of its trmendous roof. Interior diameter - 310 feet at the base and 206 feet clear of any onstruction. Inside is shown the progress of transportation from the creaky wagons of a century ago to the modern water, highway, railroad & air travel of today.
