The Food & Agriculture Building is a steel-frame structure 600 feet long, 100 feet wide & 40 feet high. Roof terraces extend the full length of the building, fitted up like outdoor lounges. It is artificially lighted & ventilated. The agricultural exhibits emphasize the phenomenal progress this industry has made by the aid of scientific research. The revolutionized methods of preparation & distribution of meats & foods is shown & a great implement display demonstrates the progress made in the methods of tillage & harvesting. |
