The Chicago Alumnae Panhellenic (CAP) is one of the most well represented alumnae panhellenics in the Midwest region. CAP was established in June 2001 and chartered by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) in May 2002. The purpose of the Chicago Alumnae Panhellenic is twofold:
  1. To inform collegiate women about the 26 NPC organizations and NPC's membership process.
  2. To provide a networking system for alumnae women in the Chicago area.

Chicago Alumnae Panhellenic is comprised of a delegate and an alternate delegate representing each of the 26 NPC organizations. In addition to monthly Council meetings, committees meet as needed to focus on CAP's goals. CAP hosts several "open" events for alumnae women each year, including the January and June business meetings. Also, in order to provide more opportunities for wormen to be involved, CAP has established a floating committee structure.

Since its creation, Chicago Alumnae Panhellenic has established a presence in the downtown Chicago area. Currently, CAP's main focuses are social, networking and alumnae chapter support events. Philanthropy, programming, and pre-recruitment activities will be included in the near future.
