Correspondent Chris McCosky takes a look at the Atlantic Division for The Sporting News, beginning with the Bulls.
The team filled a backcourt void by adding rookie PG Jay Williams. Now vice president Jerry Krause wants to use his $5.5 million in cap space to bring in a veteran big man who can help guide talented young PF Tyson Chandler and C Eddie Curry.
Free-agent C Keon Clark might not be the most mature player on the free-agent market, but he is the most talented. Krause also is looking for a defensive-minded small forward. With the cap room, plus PG Jamal Crawford and PF Marcus Fizer as trade bait, Krause hopes to land Magic G/F Mike Miller or 76ers SF Matt Harpring.
