Chapter 14

Silently, they both made their way towards the front of the building.  There was a note on it and Shianne quickly read it.  The note said to walk to the back of the building so both Shianne and Christian did as they were told.  Stopping as they reached the door Shianne glanced at Christian, her silent look saying more than she could say and he returned the silent gaze.

Without waiting any longer Shianne kicked open the door and walked inside.  She glanced around, not seeing anything at first.  Christian followed right behind her and took a stance to her left.  Without any warning, the lights flickered then turned on brightly.  Smirking Shianne glanced around, the lights not bothering her eyes since she still had her sunglasses on.  Down at the far end of the building she could see four figures walking towards them.  She knew that in the end that she would be pitted against her brother and sister but she also knew she would get them back.  Grunting a little she began to walk forward, Christian keeping up right beside her.
Well, well, well look who decided to show up after all.  Tell us Shianne, are you ready to die?  Alex spoke with a bit of sneering in his voice.

Shianne didnt say a word, only smiled towards the crude man.  She knew who was going to be dead, she already had it worked out in her mind.  It was said that good always triumphed and she was here to prove that point.  She stopped a few feet away from the four and as if by instinct turned her gaze towards her brother and sister.  They werent looking directly at her, but she could tell that they were most definitely not themselves.  She knew that after this was said and done she would have to spend a lot of time just comforting them considering all that had happened.

Ive kept my end of the bargain; Shianne spoke, pausing for a moment before continuing.  Now, its time to kill you and take back whats rightfully mine.

The look that crossed Alex and Micheal was nearly priceless. It was the look of pure disgust and perhaps even a bit of surprise that Shianne had so much gull in her.  Shianne grabbed down to her left side, pulling on the hilt of her sword.  With a sort of kchink type noise, she withdrew the sword from its sheathe.  Christian did the same and both of them faced Alex, Micheal, Trenton, and Breanna.

Within a few seconds all hell broke loose.  Alex and Micheal stood back and Trenton and Breanna walked towards Christian and Shianne.  It was boy against boy and girl against girl, respectively.  Neither Christian nor Shianne wanted to hurt Trenton or Breanna but they both knew they had to do what they had to do.  Not even bothering to waste words, Shianne leaped towards Breanna and quickly flipped her sword around, gripping the blade.  She then slammed the hilt of it into Breannas gut before flipping the sword into the air, catching it by the hilt.  She had a small cut across her palm but paid it no attention.

Christian, was busy trying to dodge the sword that Trenton was wielding.  Every once in a while you could hear the loud clank when both sword blades hit.  The force of the hitting caused a loud swiiiiinnnnnnggg noise to filter across the room.  Neither Christian nor Shianne dared glance towards the other one.  They both trusted in each other and knew that somehow things would work out.  Gasping loudly, Christian thrusted his sword forward, slicing into Trentons arm.  It wasnt a deep slash, just enough to push Trenton away from him for a mere few seconds.

Shianne leaped behind Breanna and smacked her across the head with her hand. It didnt work as well as Shianne had hoped like normal.  Breanna spun around, ramming her fist into Shiannes right eye.  Growling a bit beneath her breath Shianne stepped backwards away from Breanna.  She knew they had to think of something quick to turn the two back or someone was going to die.

Think, think, think Shianne muttered to herself.  Everything she was thinking of didnt seem possible.  She dodged a few slashes from Breanna, feeling her blade inches from her side.  It was getting to close.  She couldnt concentrate on the fight and on making them back to normal but she knew she had no choice.  Gasping, she thought of a technique she learned from an old friend, perhaps even in a different lifetime.  She had to get them both together and get Christian out of the way as well as keep Alex and Micheal away long enough for her to complete her task.  Smirking she nodded to Christian and mouthed bring Trenton over here.  She pushed Breanna back against a wall, Christian doing the same to Trenton.  Shianne nodded again to Christian as he held the two of them there while she held out both of her hands towards the wall.  Concentrating she began to glow, or rather her wrists and the right side of her neck was what was glowing.  The glow started out white but soon changed into a blue aura.  Without warning Shianne formed an energy orb in front of her and threw it at Trenton and Breanna. MOVE NOW! Shianne yelled, causing Christian to dive out of the way.  The blue energy orb hit Trenton and Breanna and covered them in water.  A few seconds later, the water turned into ice and they were frozen to the wall.  Christian leaped to his feet and stepped behind Shianne as Alex and Micheal began walking towards them.

Shianne knew Christian had her back so she ran up to Trenton and Breanna.  Luckily their faces werent frozen and she brought a hand up, touching both of their foreheads with her index fingers.  As she concentrated, two tiny orbs formed at the tip of her two index fingers and she gently sent the two orbs into Trenton and Breannas foreheads, into their bodies.  She stood there silently as Christian began to fight both Alex and Micheal.  Somewhere deep in her mind she could hear the fight, but... she had to concentrate on her siblings.  She could see into their minds and watched as they gained all their memories back, knowing their parents death would be the most painful of all.  The two of them gasped and as the ice melted away, fell forward against Shianne.  As she held them, they began to weep freely.  She spoke into their minds, telling them that she had to help Christian kill them men that did this to them and as they nodded she left them beside the wall.

Its time.. for you two to die.  I know killing you wont bring back my mother and father or the time I lost looking for Trenton and Breanna.  I know it wont change things but I dont care.  Youre death will bring me satisfaction and revenge and thats all I want right now  Shianne spoke while turning towards Alex and Micheal.  Alex was wearing the claw that he had worn the night of her parents murder and just by looking at the way Christian was breathing, she knew that Christian needed a break.

As she walked forward, she flipped her sword around her right wrist.  She gently touched Christians shoulders, letting him know it was okay and that he needed to go guard Trenton and Breanna.  She glanced at his wounds; glad he had nothing that would kill him.  He nodded and walked over to the two and slumped down a little, still holding his sword in a defensive manner.  Shianne turned to Alex and Micheal, contently smirking once she saw the blood dripping from several of the wounds Christian managed to cause them.  Her eyes narrowed, as she grew serious and it became so quiet, a pin dropped could be heard.

She was gearing up for what was probably going to be the battle of her life. She wasnt a bit frightened and was totally confident that she would live.  Even if she died, she would die knowing her brother and sister as well as Christian was okay.  She glared at the two men and gripped the hilt of her sword tightly.  Only time would tell who would live and she had all the faith she needed inside of her.  With a loud scream Shianne lunged forward, kneeling down in one swift move as she raised up her sword, ramming it deep into Michael's inner thigh.  She yanked the sword out of his thigh and slid backwards and on up to her feet.  As he dropped to the floor, Alex moved in front of him and slashed at her right arm with the clawed glove.  Not expecting this, Shianne growled as she felt the metal slash into her jacket.  With a flick of the wrist, she slashed her blade against the underarm part of his right arm.  She was trying to slice into his tendons but wasnt having much luck.   She cut him, but not really deep enough to cause a lot of damage.  Flipping backwards Shianne grabbed the hilt of one of her daggers and pulled it out of her ankle sheathe.  She once again lunged towards Alex, slashing across his chest with the dagger while jabbing downward into his leg with the sword. Not expecting them both to hit, Shianne blinked at the bellowing coming from Alexs mouth.

Bastard... you deserve so much more pain. Shianne muttered while yanking the sword from his leg.

Snarling she swung the sword around, hitting him mid chest as he dropped down to one of his knees.  She started to flick her wrist again, aiming to shove the sword into his throat.  As she flicked up her wrist, she caught the silver glint of a blade just as it was slammed up into her side.  Micheal had regained his stance and was standing beside her.  Screaming out, she brought up her sword, letting it slip into the area just below Alexs chin.  With a hard push she rammed the sword blade through Alexs throat and pulled it to the side, ripping through his bones and flesh just as he dropped to the ground.  Slowly pulling herself off Michael's blade, she stepped away from him.  She could see the hatred appearing in his eyes, more so than there was before and she smirked.  She turned the sword a little and slammed it down on top of the still gurgling Alex.  With all her might, she pushed all the way through his neck, beheading him.

Damn.. thats a shame. NEXT?! Shianne smirked, turning towards Micheal.  They were both injured but she wasnt going down so easily.

Micheal was losing control and Shianne knew that.  Her suspicions were further confirmed when he rushed at her carelessly.  Stepping to the side, Shianne swung the blade around, letting it connect against his arm, between his shoulder and elbow.  She snarled and stepped back, swinging the sword around again.  He brought up a metal pipe and slammed it into her blade, knocking it from her hand.  Swearing she threw her dagger at his gut, impaling it partway.  She started to run for her dagger and felt him grabbing a hold of her arm, throwing her the other direction.  Shrugging a little, she pulled out the second dagger from her other ankle sheathe.  As Micheal threw her other dagger to where her sword was at she rushed in at him and leaped over his bent body.  As she leaped over him, she shoved her dagger down into his left shoulder, embedding it all the way to the hilt.  She landed softly on her feet and spun around to see him screaming in pain.  Reaching back behind her, she pulled out the two halves of her staff and snapped them together.  Twirling it around a little she glanced at Micheal who looked a little shocked.

Whats the matter? Did you honestly think I would come unprepared?! Shianne mocked him before stepping forward.

As he rushed forward towards her, she brought back her elbow a little bit before swinging the full length of the staff forward, letting it collide into his stomach.  She quickly brought back the staff again and smashed it into his nose.  As the blood began to flow from his body he lunged at her and grabbed her by the throat.  Gagging she tried to smash the staff into his body, but he grabbed it and threw it with his free hand.  She was pretty much out of options and struggled in his grasp.  Christian was back on his feet and heading over towards Shianne when she got an idea.  She reached into her coat and grabbed the 9mm from the holster.  She was starting to lose air and she shakily pushed the gun against his chest, switching off the safety before pulling the trigger.  She pulled it over and over, emptying out the entire clip.  He gasped with wide eyes and let her go.  As she landed on her feet she pulled the 45 mag out and dropped the 9mm.  She quickly aimed the mag, and fired it.  She wasnt going to stop until he was dead.  Even as he dropped to the ground she walked over to him and continued to fire until she was out of ammo.  She walked over to her sword, picked it up before making her way back to Micheal.  With a growl she sliced through his body, cutting right across his chest.  Having to saw a bit she continued to cut through him until his body was in two different parts.

Sobbing she dropped to her knees the sword clanking to the ground.  She had completed what she had set out to do and as Christian, Trenton, and Breanna all ran over to her, hugging onto her, she felt safe and complete again.  She knew it would be a long time before they were normal again, but now they had the chance to regain what they had lost. Together, as a family the four of them walked home to restart their lives.  This time however, things would be different.  They were already closer than they had ever been before.  The road would be tough, but they would be tougher.  They would survive and make sure that none others went through what they had to go through.  Together, they decided to dedicate their lives to helping those that needed it, just as their father had done. But that.... is another story...
