| Here we go again! This time as promised its Yosemite. I have been there twice since June, the second time to have classes and attunements, and the place never ceases to invigorate me. We have talked about the vortices in Sedona, but no one talks about the vortices in Yosemite. I have found at least two vortices there, one on Sentinel Dome and one on Olmstead Point on the Tioga Road just before reaching Tenaya Lake. There are probably more through out the National Park and beyond and slowly but surely, and through the graces of the Great Mother, I will find them all. I fell in love with Yosemite National Park in 1982 when I first set foot in California. My first trip there was to say the least a soul altering experience. I felt, at the moment when I saw the valley for the first time that this was the place the Gods would go to vacation. Of course, since that time, tourism has taken its toll, but that doesnt mean that it still isnt a place of wonder. I tried to make a pilgrimage to the valley every year and bathe in the pools at the bottom of the falls. I use the word tried because for the past ten years, it was difficult for me to reach the valley because of my personal affairs and lack of interest from my companions of the time. Sedona was an eye opener for me since then some of the predictions and insights of the Aura reader have become a reality. I have changed my employment and again I am teaching, something the Aura reader foresaw in my aura. She also told me to go near water I needed to be near water. So for the summer solstice my Partner and I went to Yosemite. I felt the need to go to Bridal Veil and Vernal Falls. It was only a one-day trip but every second was filled with a lifetime. We reached Inspiration Point tunnel bright and early and stopped there to take in the sight. The parking area was filled with people and cars so we decided to cross the highway and climb a few hundred feet to the original Inspiration Point. Wrong; the old Inspiration Point was about a mile and a quarter straight up. We climbed it. We reached the top and had to climb down the side of the mountain a few hundred feet to get a good view. We werent disappointed. From our vantage point and with the lack of people, cars and other signs of civilization the valley seemed pristine. It seemed as if we were the only people on the face of the planet. We meditated there for a while and then started on our way down. We reached the valley floor and Bridal Veil Falls was our first stop. The thundering sound of the water was almost deafening but at the same time inspiring. We lounged in the blessing of the mist for a while, (rock climbing was out of the question) and then left to explore more of the wonders of the valley. The trip was wondrous and full of pleasurable experiences. After a quick lunch and a short shopping spree at the Yosemite Store we continued to the Happy Isles where we picked up the trail to Vernal Falls. The hike to Vernal Falls was a bit more strenuous than I remembered it and a bit longer. (Perhaps the age factor is catching up to me, but I would never admit to it.) Non-the less we arrived at the Vernal Falls footbridge and there we took a great number of pictures. The power and energy at this point was formidable so we decided to meditate. As usual I needed to find the point where the energy flow was the greatest and has it happened it was, at least for me at the point of a rock in the middle of the white water rapids fed by the fall. I climbed the wet rocks very carefully until I reached the rock in question and climbed it till I reached the peak . With all that water rushing around me the energy seemed overwhelming. (What a rush) The rest of the day was spent in getting back to the valley and a bit more shopping and the trip back home. I would have love to have gone further up to the mist trail but the time was getting late and there was the mundane work day with the next sunrise. This was the essence of my trip in June. |
