| Amber with Rudy One of our most enthusiastic members is Amber, whose screen name on our Web site, ilovesoccerandrudy, speaks for itself. She avidly enjoys soccer, and both plays on a women's soccer team and coaches a team of older girls. Amber obviously adores Rudy, her small male Chihuahua. Rudy was given to her by a woman getting a divorce who was unable to keep him and whose soon to be ex-husband was neglecting him. Rudy, now two years old, has a white coat with tan markings one large marking is in the shape of a heart. Amber describes him as sweet and possessive, good with adults but fearful of children (a not uncommon Chi trait). He seems happiest when cradled in Ambers arms or nestled in her lap, as is often the case. She is considering getting another Chihuahua as a companion for him Amber comes from Atlanta and attended Georgia Southern University. She presently resides in Georgetown and works at Greenbriar Children's Center in Savannah. |
| Cynthis with Bruiser When Cindy moved from her familys home in Richmond Hill last year, she missed her mothers Chihuahua so much that she decided to get one of her own. Cindy chose a dark-haired male that she named Bruiser and soon after that joined our club. Cindy describes Bruiser, now seven months old, as a ham who loves and demands attention. She takes Bruiser with her when she visits her family so that he can socialize and play with her mothers Chi. Bruisers other playmate is a young Chi named Mr. Beans, who is his biological cousin. Mr. Beans is owned by fellow club member, Liz, who is also Cindys good friend and neighbor. A graduate of Georgia Southern University, Cindy now lives in Savannah and works at Hospice Savannah where she handles fundraising. Due to Bruisers sweet disposition and affectionate nature, Cindy is considering having him trained as a therapy dog when he becomes older, which would tie in well with her hospice work. |
