| Minutes December 10, 2007
Welcome: Robert Wingo welcomed all of those who attended this evening. He encouraged everyone to get agendas and copies of the previous months minutes. The meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. The minutes for the previous two meetings are available tonight. The October and November Minutes were accepted, seconded, and approved. Treasurer report: Christie Pierson reported that that we have $34,656.14 in all accounts. There is $5.00 in rifle fund, $213.13 in Scholarship fund. $1196 in the General fund. In the student accounts Christie reports: $33,2149.50 and Heidi reports: $36,082.78. Heidi�s amount includes $1,735.83 from the seniors. Some of that money will go to the general fund eventually. Heidi�s amount also includes the total profit from the fruit and flower sales. Christie is waiting for 1 more amount from the fruit and flower sales. The Treasurer report was accepted, seconded and approved. Student accounts: Heidi Dukes has posted a brand new list of student accounts tonight. The chaperone list, fruit and flowers sales and payments made so far and taken out are included in the list of student accounts. Director�s report: Barry Eli: Reports that the first check has been sent in for the trip. More names have been added since this check was sent. He is still working on whether or not we will leave on Thursday night or Friday. It depends on the cost change that may occur if we leave on Thursday night. There will be no baseball players on the trip. At the January meeting, Barry will have more details about the trip. Parades: The trophy came in today from Rehoboth. Cape was the best appearing band in the Rehoboth parade. December 13th, Thursday night will be the Jazz Winter concert. It will begin at 7 p.m. with the 9th grade playing 5 songs first. Then the rest of the high school kids will come out to play. The jazz concert also has 2 choir students singing with them. Monday December 17th is the combined choir and band winter concert. It also begins at 7, with an intermission to remove the risers and then the band will play. Six of the Senior High band made All State Band. This is the highest number of students to ever make the state band. All State Jazz has 2 students; both of which are 1st chairs. The performance will be February 23rd in Dover. County Band auditions will be January 7 at Indian River and the junior high band (9th grade) will be January 15th. Not sure of location yet. Martin Luther King parade is on January 19th. Gail Kelso: Repoort that Cape had 13 students try out for All State Choir and 10 made it. Winter concert will be Monday December 17th at 7 p.m. President�s Report: Robert Wingo thanked the following people: Lisa Thorp for organizing 2 fundraisers: Moe�s and Irish Eyes. We managed to receive $45.00 from Moe�s. Robert reports that he felt the football season was very successful and that he misses the camaraderie now that the games are over. The parents who chaperoned the football games, to Darrell for pulling the trailer, to Mr. Pierson for pulling the trailer as well, to Don and Alan for helping load and unload the trailer, and all the moms who plume the kids. Others reported that the drummers had a good time and performed at their drum off well. It was noted that even the football team, cheerleaders and ROTC came back to hear the drum off.
