Here are two self-portraits while I was taking my first class in photography. The one on the left is an "environmental self-portrait", with me in my studio/bedroom and reflected through a decorated mirror.

I took the other one to help promote my singing/guitar performances. Of course, this is 4 years b.c.o. (ie. before coming out); note the make-up and semi-femme attire!

Now, here's something a little different. My good friend, Toni Jr of Hot Wire fame, has an annual Halloween party.
I named myself, Dykeula, for the first one I attended in '92! Aren't we a cute pair? This is Toni's favorite holiday and she even has custom-made fangs for the celebration.

Nicky and I were together briefly in 1993. We are now good friends, but I admit that I wish we were even much more than that today! I think I'll always love her!

(Left) Here I am at Chicago's 1st or 2nd annual Dyke March (ie. June, '96) with Newt's famous half-sister, Candice Gingrich, the newly appointed spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign; I'm wearing my Famous Dyke Tee-shirt, signed by many of my favorite womyn performers & political role models!
