YEMEN
Here is a map of Yemen (1999):
I had to look up its location myself.
Notice that the northern border is still undefined (i.e. much disputed), and that the island of Socotra belongs to Yemen.
The arrow points to the Wadi Hadhramaut.
As you can see, Yemen is fairly small when compared to the
US.
Socotra is hiding in North Carolina.
Yemen was just featured in the April 2000 issue of National
Geographic.
