Modifications

This page is dedicated to the modifications, I have performed on this car. For more detailed information on each modification, please click on the respected link. As you will see these modifications range from simple air filter changes to the installation of exhaust header and even some "free" mods. Whenever possible, I have included a link to installation instructions of these components. This car is a constant work-in-progress. Since buying it in 1999, I have been modifying various aspects as I see fit. Keep checking back at this page for new modifications. To give you a basic run down, The first summer, the car acquired a cold air induction (CAI) kit, a new PCM program. The second summer, a SLP Camaro SS "take-off" exhaust replaced the factory cat-back design, the greatest, however, was the swap from 2.73 rear end gears to 3.42. The third summer (summer 2002), the car recieved a fantastic set of FLP longtube headers. My plan for 2003 is the addition of a small 75 hp shot of nitrous oxide. And, in the long run, I hope to drop in a 383 ci LT1 with a Vortec supercharger. For additional installation instructions you may wish to visit Project TransAM. Also note, that a full detailed listing of my modifications can be found as an Excel file in the Downloads section. Information regarding cost and manufacturer can be found there as well.
