MY FAMILY

NOTE: Information in this file is as on 5th of August, 1998

Surprised ?? Well I sure don't have my own family. Not yet.But in our part of the world we are so very well knit together in our relations that we are willing to live together as a single family even after each one of us have our own families.

At present five of us live together and share all our joys and sorrows. My father, Head of the family,is wedded for 24 yrs. My mother, aged 43 yrs. is incharge of the well being of all the members of the family.Next comes my elder brother, aged 22 yrs. who is a scientist right now (a very good achievement for his age ).Myself,20 yrs. of age, second son and not as hard working as my elder brother, wish to enter the IT industry and gain success in an easy way.We have a younger sister, aged 16 yrs.,darling of all of us,mischevious,an oppurtunist, knows how to get any of her work done by us.

OUR FATHER

Kashinath.G ,our father, works in the kannada film industry (our regional language) as a manager and production incharge for the banner SRI CHAKRESHWARI COMBINES.He was previously in the theatre acting well known plays in and around the old Mysore state. He was introduced into movies by his own theatre mates who later went on to become very famous actors. He however was more drawn towards the managarial aspects of the glamour world and still continues doing it.

My father was the eldest son and has two brothers and three sisters. His childhood was hard as he had to do the traditional job of vending milk along with his father and brothers.Since his grand father was a wrestler in the court of Sri.JayaChamarajendra Wodeyar, he also had a passion for wrestling. He had to do a daily routine of cycling 15 km ,exercising and wrestling for 6 hrs other than attending school and other small household chores.

OUR MOTHER

Kamala Kashinath (Kamalakshi G.V before marraige) is working as a bank clerk in Syndicate Bank. Her childhood was spent vending milk, studying and playing with friends. She didn't even have the oppurtunity to see good movies of her times until she was aged 18 and went to college. She had 3 sisters and three brothers to play and quarrel with.According to the custom she was married to her first cousin, and hence they knew each other very well right from thier childhood. Her marraige must have been the happiest thing that has ever happened to her as she is now a proud mother of three children whom she loves and cares and will do so forever.

It makes me extremely happy to write that all the brothers and sisters of both my father and mother are all their children are in touch and meet occasionally during weddings and festivals.

MY BROTHER

Hemanth K ,more commonly called Hemi, is a charming boy who has that smile that can win this world. He has been my advisor and tutor throughout his and my life.I respect him more for what I have learnt from him than for what he has tried to teach me.He is an engeneering graduate, graduating from one of the esteemed institutes in my state, R.V College of Engeneering ,Bangalore. He was the person who first entered the computer field in our family (among all my aunts and uncles and their children) and I have followed him till now.

He is presently working as a scientist in Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (IRIS) at Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), Bangalore. To know more about him you can mail him at [email protected] or visit his website at http://www.not_yet_there.com

MY SISTER

Kavitha Kashinath, called Kavi by all is doing her pre-graduation studies in biology at BHS First Grade College. She is least interested in biology and wants to do a business oriented job.So she plans to graduate in Business Management. As a person she is friendly and makes friends with one and all without giving thought about the other person.Making friends is one thing she has to learn from her mother.
