A Doodle for Cid
Waitress: Good morning ladies, have you decided what you'd like to... *notices Dashe's drawing* Hey, that's pretty good! Where'd you learn to draw like that???
Dashe: O_o Uh...I never exactly LEARNED how to draw...I just kind of do it...
Waitress: ^^ You know, I couldn't draw to save my life! I can't even draw stick figures...
Nailo: Uh...I'd like to order here...
The waitress apologizes and takes their orders. Nailo examines Dashe's drawing.
Nailo: I hate to admit it, but that IS good. How come you never told me you could draw?
Dashe: You'll find out later when we finish our breakfast.
They get their food, finish eating, and exit the Tavern. Immediately, Dashe is bombarded by an unruly mob of screaming townspeople.
TP#4: HEY! YOU'RE THE KID WHO DREW THAT MASTERPIECE IN THE TAVERN!
TP#3: She actually went into my house once! A real famous person...in my house...I might faint!!!
TP#11: Gee, you DID kick her out...
TP#3: A minor detail...
TP#9: DRAW ME SOMETHING!!!
Dashe: Nailo?
Nailo: Yes?
Dashe: RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!
They make their getaway and escape inside the Tikean Storage Facility.
Dashe: See? THAT is why nobody knows I can draw!
Nailo: Oh.
Dashe: It happens everywhere I go. I always get attacked by fans, so that's one of the reasons I never left Yenro Village too often. It's better off if I don't tell anyone.
Nailo: That makes sense, but at least they don't hate your guts anymore!
Dashe: *Remembers when she knocked El Microondas into the mud and was named as a threat to society* I guess you're right! Let's go back outside. They'll probably forget about it by tomorrow anyway.
She was right. The townspeople have all dispersed. The two eternally arguing townspeople are still arguing (big surprise there) on their little street corner.
TP#13: I tell ya, that Master Artist of Yenro Village kid is probably so rich she can by ten kingdoms and still have money left over!
TP#12: Why the heck would she want to buy a bunch of stupid kingdoms? She probably used the money to buy a bunch of nice sports cars!
TP#13: KINGDOMS!
TP#12: CARS!
Dashe: -_-
They sigh and walk off.
Dashe: I guess now I'm going to have to leave Tikea. There's no way I can get to the bottom of this whole El Microondas thing if I'm THIS famous, and I doubt I'll be able to make it to Yenro Station without ending up in the tabloids.
Nailo: All right, but the rest of us are going with you! We need to stick together, and besides, if you leave Tikea alone, you'll get your butt kicked!
Dashe: Now why would I ever leave you guys behind? I do think I should tell Cid I'm leaving though...I bet he'll get worried if I just disappear.
Nailo: Gee, you really ARE good friends with Supreme Magister Cid, aren't you?
Dashe: Hmmm... *Takes out the napkin she drew on* "Cid: I've headed off for another town. Please don't come looking for me. I'll be back soon. Travis, Elbie, and Nailo are with me. I don't want to leave, but now everyone in town found out I can draw and they all want to put me on TV and whatnot. You can keep the drawing. Sincerely, Dashe, Master THIEF (not artist!!!) of Yenro Village." Does it sound good?
Kelly: It's fine. I'll run it down to the Executive District. You go back to the Inn and tell the others.
Nailo and Dashe head their separate ways. Luckily, no one has learned of Dashe's talents at the Inn.
Innkeeper: Hey Dashe! Back already?
Dashe: Yeah. Did anything come in the mail for me?
Innkeeper: Well now that you mention it, I just got a letter from your mom in Carvous. *Gives Dashe the letter*
Dashe: *Opens letter* "Dear Dashe: I hate to interrupt your 'adventures' in Tikea, but I need to ask you a favor. I have this acquaintance in Lorem Harbor named Genji. He is an alchemist who is currently looking for the legendary Centroid Crystal. He wanted me to help him look, but my job is much too important for me to spend too much time away from work. If you could go in my place, I'm sure you'll find lots of treasure. You know where Lorem Harbor is, right? It's just northeast of Tikea, right on the oceanfront. Love, Mom." Talk about great timing! I was thinking of leaving anyway.
Innkeeper: Really? That's a shame. Well, good luck!
Dashe: Thanks a lot! Lorem Harbor, here we come!!!
