Chesty's Place

My Marine Corps Section

Semper Fi! My name is Tim "Chesty" Manchester, I am a United States Marine.  In case you are wondering about the nickname it is not from Chesty Puller. I had the nickname long before I know who he was.
I joined the Marines in February 1982. SSgt Lee was my recruiter.
I went to boot camp at Parris Island, platoon 3015, I company. After boot camp I attended "A" school in Pensacola, Florida. There I was trained to be a Sigint Communicator. I have tours at Iwakuni, Japan; Instructor duty at Co K, Marine Support Battalion; Recruiting Duty San Antonio, TX; three tours at 2D Radio Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC, to include Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm; three deployments with India Battery, 3/11, 29 Palms, CA; this included OIF I and II to Iraq. I currently serve as Sergeant Major for 2d Maint Bn, Camp Lejeune, NC.

On January 20, 2005 I was honored to attend the AFAF fund raiser.
AFAF benefits the Marines of MCAGCC 29 Palms, CA by collecting items
to be sent to units in Iraq. Click the picture for more details on the organization and thier web site.
