Chester River Rattery is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, in a little town that lies along the banks of the beautiful Chester River. We produce healthy, friendly, and beautiful pet quality rats.
Rats make wonderful pets. They are smart, friendly, and very easy to care for. They are much friendlier than other "pocket-pets," and they are just the right size-not too big or too small! Rats are very social animals, and enjoy the company of other rats.
We raise our rats in a family environment, with children and pets, so our rats are quite used to commotion. We do not show our rats, therefore we do not strive to produce show-quality rats. We focus on breeding for healthy, friendly companions.
