Chester was born in Las Vegas, Nevada sometime during the late 1970's. Little is known about his life as a young sock because Chester himself is very confused about it all and when asked, he simply changes the subject. One thing he is willing to talk about is the influence tap dancing has had on his life. Chester was raised by a tap dancing troop, though he says they'd rather consider themselves as a "tribe." When he was fifteen years old he would sit on the roulette tables in Vegas casinos where his troop was performing. "I got an amazing sense of rhythm from that thing rippling across my ass," he says. Tap dancing would always be a very large part of Chester's life. |
| Chester still is currently still living in Los Angeles. Making sandwiches, chasing the ice cream truck, and working on Cody's van take up most of his time. He has a secret toothpaste project called Toothpase Specatacular, but refuses to give away any other information at this time. He's got a collection of over 5,000 refrigerator magnets in the trunk of Olly's car, still loves to beatbox, and once ran a pizza place from Sifl's room and a day care center from Olly's simultaneously. He sometimes works as a Fantasy Love date where he dresses up as a beaver to help pay rent. "I do this thing where you call up and I go over to your house and pull a medieval sex dance on your ass. It's good wages but the work's pretty intimindating." But of course our Chester hasn't up his tap dancing roots he so dearly loves. He does shows from Olly and Sifl's apartment every Saturday night now that the local coffee shop has named a doughnut after him. Chester has done a series of commericals for Dynamite Dig-Ums cereal airing only in Central America and hopes to one day make it back to mainstream television. |
In the mid 1990's Chester wandered from Vegas to L.A. to persue a career in entertainment. The demand for tap dancing sock puppets was at an all time low, but on his first night there he entered an underwater coffee drinking contest and won first prize. He became friends with the runner up, another sock puppet by the name of Sifl. With no place to live and no driver's license, Chester's clingy nature landed him crashing at Sifl and his friend Olly's apartment, both of whom were trying to make it into television. |

| In the late 90's their hard work and silly antics paid off when MTV gave them their own TV show called The Sifl and Olly Show. Chester would make guest appearences on every show as himself during the segment "A Word With Chester." He would introduce the hosts, answer letters sent to him, sing songs, etc. Chester immediately became popular with viewers as Sifl and Olly's lovable sidekick who loved cereal, sandwiches, and girls in sparkly clothes, with a fear of being kidnapped and taken into outerspace. The show lasted three seasons though the third never aired on TV. It still has a cult following today. |
