| Whose Line Is It Anyway? started as a Radio show in England, with host Clive Anderson. They moved it to be a Television show because it was hard to finfd games that were suitable for Radio. Time went on. More and more improvisers came along and I think the furtherist one was from Australia! His name was Russel somethng. Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie and Greg Proops were the first Americans to go on WLiiA? This led to many more people coming and joining the show. In the UK there were a couple of guest stars like, George Wendt (from "Cheers") and Eddy Izzard, Caroline Quentin(Men Behaving Badly) Rory Bremner. The show ran from 1988 until 1998. Ryan Stiles put forward the idea of moving WLiiA? to America and that indeed, is what they did! Clive Anderson and the crew went to the U.S. for one season, it was called 'Whose Line Is It Anyway? in Hollywood" It was a huge success! Drew Carey took over the position of being the host. The first episode in the US aired in August of 1998. The show is still going strong in the US and is on all around the world. Drew Carey is the current host with Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie and Wayne Brady as regulars and Brad Sherwood, Greg Proops, Chip Esten, Kathryn Greenwood, Karen Maruyama, Denny Siegel, Jeff Davis and other guest stars as extras. After a fight in the 2nd season of "drew's line" Denny Siegel and the producer Dan Patterson had a dissagreement so Denny Siegel isn't on any eps except for the 1st and 2nd season We all miss her and pray she can come back very soon!
