The Book of Mormon is exactly
as the title says "Another
Testament of Jesus Christ" In
this book of scripture we
learn about our forefathers
that lived here in the Americas.
"This is an abridgment of the
record of the people of Nephi,
and also the Lamanites.
In the introduction to The Book
of Mormon says it is a
volume of holy scripture comparable
to the Bible. It is aa record
of God's dealings with
the ancient inhabitants of the Amercias
and contains, as does the Bible, the
fulness of the everlasting
gospel.
The book ws written by many ancient
prophets by the spirit of
prophecy and revelation.
Their words, written on gold plates,
were quoted and abridged were
quoted by a prophet Mormon.
Thus, receiving the name The
Book of Mormom.
A passage of scripture found in Moroni 10:3-5 says:
3. Behold I would exhort you
that when ye shall read these
things, if it be wisdom in
God that ye should read them, that
ye would remember how
merciful the Lord hath been unto
the children of men,
from the creation of Adam even down
untilthe time that ye shall
receive these things, and ponder
it in your heart.
4. And when ye shall receive
these things, I would exhort
you that ye would ask God,
the Eternal Father, in the name
of Christ, if these thingsare
not true; and if ye shall ask with a
sincere heart, with real
intent, having faith in Christ, he
will manifest the truth of
it unto you., by the power of
the Holy Ghost.
5. And by the power of the
Holy Ghost ye may know the
truth of all things.
You yourself may find the truthfulness
of this promise for
yourself, as many others have.
I myself have asked the Eternal
Father if this book is his word.
I know without a doubt that
it is the word of God and it
contains the history of our
forefathers, that lived here many
years ago and testifies of Our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I know that Our Savior lives
and he loves us and wants us
to have his word and return
to live with him. That is why he
has given us "The Book of Mormon
Another Testament
of Jesus Christ"
