About Capt. Matt

I was born and raised in Crisfield, MD and became a U.S.C.G. Lic. (#856724) Captain in 1998. I began guiding in 1999 throughout the Tangier Sound. 

Through my love for fishing and seeing new areas I decided to expand my range further to areas that I had fished in the past such as the Susquehanna Flats, Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and Cape Lookout-Harker's Island, NC. I now offer trips seasonally to these other destinations so that my clients can enjoy the same variety.

I am fully insured for the protection of my passengers and am a full time licensed guide. I hold a Maryland Guide's License (FGR #1556)as well as Virginia Charter Permit.

My current boat used for all charters is a customized 18' CC Parker that is well suited for shallow water operation as well as the near coastal waters of the CBBT and Cape Lookout, NC. The 18' Parker can easily accommodate up to 3 anglers though 2 is preferred for most light tackle and especially fly fishing trips.
