| The Raid Part Two |
| Dustin got familiar with the training and the other cadet's by only faces. He didn't talk to anyone yet. Dustin decided to wonder around a bit more. He grew inpatient waiting for the next activity. Going passed Cheryl and Vanira they grew susupious. "Where do you think the new cadet is going?" Vanira asked. Cheryl put her hands on her hips. "I don't know" Cheryl told Brutus to watch the others while her and Vanira followed him. Dustin noticed a figure in the forest. It was Moris. "Hey!" Moris said. Dustin walked up to the warlord. "You again? I said I would tell you what I know why are you hiding?" Moris grunted and snatch Dustin around the neck. Cheryl and Vanira lost Dustin. "Where did he go? He couldn't of gone far?" Vanira shrugged. It was strange. "Do you think he's the one causing the problem?" Cheryl looked around the Forest but didn't answer Vanira. "Come on let's get back to the academy." Dustin fought Moris and got away from his grip. "Ares has special order's to get this place under attack to get the scroll." "Attack? What for? Isn't this Ares a god? Why can't he get it himself without an attack?" Even though Dustin was a tough guy up for an attack at anytime he wasn't heartless he couldn't stand back and let innocent cadet's get hurt. Or worst.. "You know the deal he gave you" Moris coxed Dustin with a reminder. Dustin got a cold rush threw his body. Dustin never met Ares only threw Moris he got this deal. "This deal with Ares must be pretty big what is it?" Moris tried to get the information. "I'll get the scroll, Moris laughed. "You kid? Did your parent every teach you to listen?" "I never knew my parent's" Moris nodded. "I'll run it passed Ares he will never go for it this attack will be underway in no time. Nice knowing you kid" Dustin grew mad in a rage. What did he get himself into? Dustin started running back to the Academy and smacked head on with another Cadet. As they both fell the girl recognized him instantly. "Where did you run off to?" Vanira wiped the hair out of her eyes as she stood back up. "Well answer me. Cheryl is pissed." Nira said. She had stayed behind to look for him a bit more as Cheryl went back to the academy. "Its none of your business." Dustin said shoving past the girl and heading back to the academy. Vanira ran ahead of him, blocking his path. "I know something is wrong. Its not just about you, is it? We're all in danger?" Vanira said. She could sense that for some reason. Just like that bad feelings Cheryl was getting. Dustin didn't answer but looked away. "You don't understand., he said. "How do you know that? You haven't even told me anything!" Vanira said. Just then a flash of light appeared. "Ares!" Nira said angrily. "Hello my dear Vanira." Ares said with an evil smile. "Go away." Vanira said shortly. Ares just laughed. "I don't think so. I'm too involved." Ares said in a casual way. "Youre part of all this?" Vanira said. "How much do you exactly know, m'dear." Ares said looking at her thoughtfully. 'By the gods, this half nymph was beautiful. How could he have forgotten.' "Not much but now that I know you're involved, its worse than I imagined." Nira said. "Dustin, why don't you enlighten here, about everything." Ares said in a commanding tone. The GOW wanted the academy to know about the attack. It would make things more interesting for his plans. For that battle that is. Dustin stood there hesitating. He gave a nasty look at Ares. "So your Ares your the one all powerful and mighty" Ares caught attention. "Excuse me Vanira" Ares went over to Dustin grabbing his arm. "Moris said you were one we could trust with this plan and you are involved and will help me get what I want!" He growled. Dustin laughed looking away. "You just don't get it do you kid I should have a mind to just-- Ares face softened it was strange even for the GOW. He looked at Dustin strangely. He loosened the grip on his arm. Ares was like in a trance. Dustin had gotten to him somehow. Why? "Somebody better tell me something!" Vanira snapped Ares out of his trance. "Ah, my plan" Ares said in a daze he didn't finish when Dustin told Vanira. "Ares here wants a scroll, a scroll that contains immortality, plan an attack on the cadet's am I close Ares? Is this what you wanted me to tell her.?" Vanira heard her name threw the wind as she turned to see whom Ares saw his chance to leave quickly. Dustin stood there. "I got to get out of here!" Dustin was about to move. "Your just going to abandon this information you just told me we need to tell the other's." Vanira said. "Then what? I can't control Ares. Vanira, he will do what he wishes." "Dustin you just can't leave you need to help us" "How?" Dustin said then took off running. "Whats wrong?" Cheryl said coming up to Vanira. Vanira turned sadly to Cheryl, shaking her head in dismay. "He ran away." was alls he said at first. "Dustin? What happened?" Cheryl asked urgently. She knew she shouldn't have left Vanira alone in the woods looking for Dustin! "Ares showed up. Theres gonna be an attack on the academy. Sometime soon I think. I didn't get much. Something about a scroll of immortality or something." Nira said. "Of course Ares. Hes one of the few that know its here." Cheryl said to herself. "You know about it?" Vanira asked. They started walking back to the academy. They were deep in the woods already and might be in danger because of the attack. "Just rumors. I never really believed they were true. Its a scroll made of pure gold and gives the location to ambrosia." Cheryl said. She knew this was bad. Any mortal would die to get this scroll. "But what does Ares want? He's already immortal." Cheryl said. "What does he always want? Battle. By letting us know about it, makes a bloodier fight rather then surprise. But there was something else. Something about Dustin." Nira said thinking back to just moments ago. "What do you mean?" Cheryl asked. The academy was in sight now. "Ares went into some dazed kinda look until I spoke. He was looking at Dustin. I don't know." Vanira said thoughtfully. "Where did he go?" Cheryl asked. "Deep into the woods. I think hes linked into this somehow. He knew the plan." Vanira said. Cheryl shook her head in disgust. They had entered the academy now. "I need to tell everyone. We need a plan." Cheryl said and then went to stand in front of the group of cadets who were waiting for class to begin."Everyone. We have a serious emergency. We are going to be attacked by warlords after the scroll of immortality." Cheryl said. "But thats just a myth." Iolaus yelled out. "I don't think it is. Ares is the one in charge of this attack. He would know if it existed." Cheryl said. "What we need is a plan. This is our home. I don't want them destroying it or us." Cheryl said. "Does anyone have any ideas?" |
