What happened to the Dao Huay Club I so loved in 1997 and 1998? Let's take a look at...

If
you're sharp enough (or bored enough), you might realise that the "now" picture
is lacking one person. Then you're right. Due to time constraints on Grace's
part, we were unable to have a complete reunion. 
Hence,
Grace is naturally not in the "now" picture...
Meeting up 4 years after our graduation from
I.J. made me really nostalgic. It made me realise that there was no way of
changing time or turning back the clock... I can no longer hang out under the
monkey bars during recess as I did so many years ago with them ... But at least
now, I've found a way to grow closer to each one of them in a different way...
Everyone to some extent had changed in their own way. Somewhere along the way,
we'd all managed to grow up...
It was
good (fantastic, really!) to catch up after so many years... (Man, I feel old!
) Everyone was taking their own individual steps
to becoming whatever they wanted to be. For example, Adeline is aiming to be a
teacher, which is really cool in my opinion... Then again, I am aiming to
be an actuary, which turned out to be somewhat of a surprise even for me
... Being so excited, we naturally took tonnes and tonnes of pictures. Many of
which can be found at Eileen's online
photo album. Best
of all, we all managed to buy a D.H.C ring... =D Hee hee... It's now one of my
most prized possessions... Picture? Take a look below...
What else is new with us? Other than we've just had something of a reunion, that is. Well... It's not exactly new... But I've been typing and editing what Gracie, Mellie and I call the "Coca-cola book"... Don't ask why, though the reason may already be obvious. Anyway, it's this book the 3 of us used to pass back and forth between us to write in. It covers mostly our transition between Sec. 2 and Sec. 3. It in effect dates from 30/10/1998 to 06/07/1999.
I think
it's really special and I'm glad we did it... We actually at one point aspired
to have it published... But that was so many years ago... I wonder if the others
remember it...
Anyway, since it was meant to be "published", the next closest thing is having it posted online... Somewhat like a shared blog,
if you will...
I'm still in the process of typing it out ( and
editing !! As it turns out, there's a lot of editing to do... I've just
realised how horrible my English was 6 years ago...
)... Moreover, I do happen to have other things
to do too, please be patient... One last thing-- Please bear in mind that though
I had at one point in time (then!!) aspired to be a writer, I now feel I
still lack the proper writing skills! So pardon my editing (and writing)
abilities
and read what we've named "Just
3"...
