Our Healthcorps Staff
Susan works out of our Cherry Street clinic.  In addition to doing some working on productivity graphs, Susan works on two projects.  The first is a diabetes program that enters patients with diabetes into a program for a study, which also ensures that those patients receive the necessary tests each year.  Her second duty is as Assistant Coordinator of the Women's Cancer Screening Program, which includes the Women's Health Network, a program that offers free mammograms and pap smears to women without insurance.  Susan also helps with our car seat donation program, assisting low-income clients receive free car seats.
Lekisha works out of Cherry Street clinic. She makes reminder calls to patients of all of our medical providers.  Lekisha also helps many women apply for MIChild and Healthy Kids, which are free or low-cost health insurance programs.  Lekisha is also working on starting a prenatal incentive program in which women receive products for their babies when they attend appointments at Cherry Street while they are pregnant.
Kylene works at our clinic at Union High school.  Kylene works with the students there to ensure they receive the services they need.  She also helps with MIChild, Healthy Kids and medicaid applications for the children and their parents.  During the summer, when school is out, Kylene works at Cherry Street on our Patient Assistance Program.  With this program, she helps patients without insurance get their prescription medication.  Kylene also works on our car seat donation program, using her Spanish-speaking skills to help women who can't afford car seats receive free ones!
All of our staff is multi-functional!  Healthcorps members all bring different skills to Cherry Street and work on many different programs to improve the quality of care for people in the Grand Rapids Community.
