Captains Abstract
Today was an oustanding day for the team.
After winning the toss, I elected to bowl on a pitch that look soft and had a nice layer of
grass on the surface. We started quite well restricting the Everton side to only 10 runs
the first eight overs. The first wicket fell with the score at 5 to a ball that, pitching on
middle, jagged back towards slips hitting off. From then on there was a consistent performance
by all the bowlers, leaving Everton with 132 runs.
Our batting was excellent, with only to men being required today. The team making the required
runs in only 18 overs. Peter Shaw once again showing a consistent performance in making 68 not
out.
A great performance by everyone.
