Captains Abstract
A hard day at the office for the first days play, of the final match. After
being sent into the field with only 8 men present we struggled early. The break
through finaly came with the score on 176, Chris White (2-49) claiming two quick
scalps, with Bill Thompson also chipping in with 2-36. The highlight of the day for
us came close to stumps, when Andrew Kemp claimed the second hat-trick in Chermside
history to end up with 3-86. Unfortunately that was the only high point of the days
play as Albany Creek smashed their way to 395 in the day.
The second day saw us sent into bat. It started off poorly and pretty much stayed that
way for the whole days play. The only innings of note being Sam Martins second dig
where he scored 20. Other than that we had totals of 26 and 41 and were never competitive.
