Copper Canyon State Park is in Northern Wisconsin, on the shores of Lake Superior. It has a campground high above the lake.

This is taken on the nature walk which starts from the camp ground. Not only the rocky shoreline, but the cold water discourage watersport. Also, the water supply is cold only too (as of 1996).

A view of the spacious campground area and our minivan first thing in the morning.

This is the canyon itself, and the brownish water is natural. The walk to the river through the dark forest is worthy of a hobbit.

Looking up the river, this is primarily a centre for the adult pursuits of fishing and snowmobiling.
