THE PARADOX OF TIME
The paradox of time in the
history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways,
but narrower viewpoints; we spend more but have less; we buy more but
enjoy it less . We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences
but less time; we have more Degrees but less sense; more knowledge but less
Judgement; more experts but less solutions ; more medicine, but less wellness.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. we talk too
much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We have learned how to make a living,
but not how to make life; We have conquered outer space, but not the inner
space; we have added years to life, but not life to years.
We have been all to the moon and came back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the neighbour, we've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul ; we have split the atom, but forgotten our prejudice. We have higher income, but lower morals; We have become long of quantity, but short of quality. These are the times of tall men and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships. These are the times of the world peace, but domestic warfare, more leisure, but less fun.
But all the people are just for a comfortable
life especially to eat well and a have a comfortable life which is never comfortable in reality. But what can one conclude from all
this. The answer is that we set our pace for a better destiny by doing good. i.e.
