Three Star Hotel, Five Star Cast
A reviewer in the Straits Times saw the first three episodes and concluded that "if business carries on like this, The Hotel will almost go bust for sure."
It didn't . The show enjoyed healthy viewership rate despite fierce competition from Channel U's imported Hong Kong show. (see reports below)
It was good drama though scripting and characterisations are weak in some episodes. Ultimately it was the cast acting as hotel staff with their sparkling chemistry and team work that pull the show through and save The Hotel.

with Singaporeans. i-weekly listed "The Hotel" as one of the two memorable drama serials in 2001 besides "Three and a Half Women"
