Yesterday MediaCorps' Channel 8 held a press conference for its new shows to be telecast in December and early January next year. About 20 over artistes involved in the show attended it making it a star-studded event.

    More than half  the number of artistes were acting in its blockbuster "Da Jiu Dian". This serial mobilises all the 90 artistes in the station for the show.  It was really  a strong cast. "Da Jiu Dian" is about how two sisters, Ivy Lee and Jacelyn Tay fight for the control of the hotel with the two brothers, Chen Hanwei and Edmund Chen. Shot in the actual location of a hotel, various artistes will make special appearances in each episode and bring out a story that is full of humour and warmth.

     Because of  the involvement of so many, producer Ma Jia Jun said that it felt like having reunion dinner every day.

     One of the lead actors, Chen Hanwei said that he had  thought of which artistes he never had a chance to work with before. Now within the short 3 months he managed to act with all of them.

     The script writers of  the 20 episode "Da Jiu Dian" are Zhou Shaowen and Hong Xi. It will be aired on 7pm time slot from 5th of December onwards and challenge SPH's U Channel's trump card Hong Kong television serial "Zhen Qin" which also boast of a strong cast. Who will win in the end. That will be the focus of attention..
