Artistes from Lion City dare not admit that they are number one

| 稱哥封姐講資格 獅城藝人不敢認老大 曾幾何時,演藝圈內傳統上會將“阿姐”、“阿哥”的名號,套在演技異軍突起、待人處事有大將風範、氣質被觀眾肯定、接受的藝人身上。 “姐級”或“哥級”人物的稱譽,非資深即可獲得、非美麗、英俊就會被冠以這個稱呼,也並非擁有一身“三腳貓”功夫或天生優越的條件,就理所當然入選為“阿姐”、“阿哥”之流。 既然演藝圈自定了這樣一種階級之分,就不能不嚴格執行“資格”鑑定,否則,“阿姐”、“阿哥”的出現就會像黃河那樣泛濫成“災”。 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 獅城的廣電(廣播電視)和平面媒體,顯然已陷入“阿姐”和“阿哥”的迷思當中。它們似乎極盡所能,要“製造”或“塑造”出新一代的“阿哥”、“阿姐”,儘管此刻的時機還不成熟,雛鳥的羽毛還未變豐! 最好的例子,就發生在去年廣電新貴──“優頻道”成立當初,平面媒體掀起的“阿姐投選”活動。 在那次熱烈的投選中,許多入行不久、演技尚嫩,在許多方面還需加把勁兒的女藝人,“無端端”被推舉到“阿姐”的地位,媒體還煞有介事的將誰誰誰羅列為一姐、二姐、三姐…… 表面上看這是一項榮耀光環,但獲選藝人自己也清楚知道,論演技、“輩份”和資格,她們還有很長的路要走呢。 在這個“姐聲”、“哥聲”的風潮下,不僅在演藝圈,甚至主持界、廣播界和新聞界,也牽扯上“哥姐”的階級之爭。 儘管這是一場無謂的稱號遊戲,可偏偏藝人又身不由己被安排對號入座,讓人丈八金剛摸不著頭腦的是,除了因為“年輕、漂亮”以外,專業資格還達不到標準的一些新傳媒新進女藝人,譬如歐萱、盧瑞恩、賴怡玲、曾詩梅等,最近還被媒體捧上了天,被掛上未來“第4代阿姐”(第1代阿姐是80年代的向雲和鄭惠玉;第2代是90年代初的範文芳、郭妃麗;第3代是90年代末的鄭秀珍)的稱號。 地位超然 演藝圈的“阿哥”、“阿姐”,地位是超然的。香港演藝圈早期就有汪明荃、趙雅芝、周潤發、劉德華、梁朝偉,當代則有歐陽震華、林保怡、羅嘉良、萱萱、陳慧珊等人。 特別是80年代紅遍亞洲的幾位香港“阿哥”、“阿姐”,他們的年代雖已走過了歷史,但在今時今日,他們在劇迷心目中的地位仍然屹立不倒。 獅城演藝圈內,也有專業資格受肯定的“阿哥”、“阿姐”,屈指算一算,就有黃文永、李南星、謝韶光、陳漢瑋、李銘順、向雲、鄭惠玉和黃碧仁、範文芳。 這些派頭不小的人物,在獅城名字都是擲地有聲的。然而,他們的成就也並非在一夕之間出現,首先,還得通過觀眾的眼睛來審視、判斷、認可。 就像早前優頻道的“阿姐”投選活動,“第4代阿姐”稱號的出現,同樣是對“阿姐”、“阿哥”定義誤讀的一種情況。 首先,我們必須清楚知道,偶像明星和“阿哥”、“阿姐”並非是必然聯在一起的。因為,“阿哥”、“阿姐”的條件,不一定具有漂亮的臉孔(有樣貌的話就錦上添花了),但演技一定要有“兩把刷子”,此外就是藝人的氣質,不是單靠外表就能與“氣質”佔上邊,而是內裡能散發出一種無以形容的魅力。 演藝圈內,“阿哥”、“阿姐”的地位不盡然是“渾然天成”的(一進入戲劇圈子就樹立這種超然地位),他們泰半的經驗,都是經歷了歲月的磨練和考驗,才能像“雪松”一樣歷經風雨、霜雪而傲然孤立。 常言道“一步一腳印”,“阿哥”、“阿姐”的演藝路程,也是依靠腳踏實地的學習和改進精神,從低潮走向高潮。 星味是時間熬出來 他們的“星味”、“氣質”,是從時間的熬練中熬出的成果。 媒體對“阿哥”、“阿姐”意義的誤讀,就好比急於讓稻苗長高結“果”的農人一般,為了利益(達到宣傳的目的)而“揠苗助長”,結果反倒讓稻苗因而更早枯萎死亡(藝人生涯提早玩完)。 漂亮的贊美之詞,不是鼓勵,而是助長人心態上的驕傲。 一個美麗的光環,認為授受不起的人,會避而遠之,但難免讓原本帶著虛榮之心的人因此陷入贊美的遐想,從而忘記了背後的努力。 “信服”是“阿哥”、“阿姐”的另一代名詞,它意味著,只有具備了一定條件的藝人,才能讓人接受、推舉他戴上“阿哥”、“阿姐”的冠冕。 反之,沒有那麼大的頭卻戴著那麼大的帽,背地裡只不過讓人多了一個笑柄。 因此,針對“阿哥”、“阿姐”這兩個名詞,媒體千萬不要“誤用”、“濫用”,而是要“用得對”、“用得恰當”,以免引人詬病。 |
Qualifications are required for the titles of "AhJie, Ah Ge"
We do not know when it started, but within the acting circle, the brand of "Ah Jie", "Ah Ge" is
traditionally crowned on those artistes who stand out among the lot, handle people and events with great skills and have quality endorsed by audience.
Those who belong to the class of "Jies" and "Ges" may not
necessarily have long years of experience, or be pretty or handsome.
Having "currying favour skills" or born talented may not get one to automatically
be selected as "Ah Jie" and "Ah Ge".
Since the entertainment circle has created its own classification, then it should have strict criteria on "qualifications", otherwise there will be a flooding of "Ah Jies", "Ah Ges" like the overflowing Yellow River causing "disaster".

The Lion City's television and print media have obviously got lost in
their misled thinking of "Ah Jies", "Ah Ges". They seem to be trying their utmost to "create" or "falsely create"
the new generation of "Ah Ges' and 'Ah Jies" , even though time is not ripe and the chick's feather has not grown to the fullest!
The best example happened last year during the early set-up of the new TV station - "U channel". The print media started an "Ah Jie" poll. During the heat of the polling, many new artistes
who have raw acting skills and needing improvement in various areas, "for no reasons" are push to "Ah
Jies" position. The media even take it seriously to list Yi Jie, Er Jie, San Jie...On the surface it
looked like a
great honour, but those who were voted in clearly knew, in terms of acting skills, "position" and qualifications, they have a long way to go.
This craze on "Jies " and "Ges" ,has cause fights for the "Gejie" title
not just in the acting, but also hosting and news broadcasting
circles. Although it is a meaningless title game, but artistes are helplessly given number to fit in. What is puzzling is, besides being "young and pretty", those newly joined Mediacorps female artistes who have not achieved required standards like Ou
Xuan, Lu Rui En, Vivian Lai, Pricilia Chan etc are raised to the heavens by the media and given the title of future "4th generation Ah Jies" (first generation is Xiang Yun and Zoe in the 80s; 2nd generation is Fann Wong, Phyllis Quek in early 90s and 3rd generation is Jacelyn Tay at end of 90s).
Position transcending time
In the acting circle the "Ah Ges", "Ah Jies" have positions transcending
time . In Hong Kong's earlier years there were Lisa Wong, Zao Ya Zi, Chou
Ren Fatt, Andy Lau, Tony Leung. Currently there are
Owyang Zhen Hua, Lin Bao Yi,Gallen Lo, Xuan Xuan, Chen Hui Shan etc.
For those whose achievement has becaome history especially those few 80s Hong Kong "Ah Ges' "Ah Jies" who are
widely popular in Asia, their positions remain unshaken in the hearts of drama fans even up to today.
In the acting circle of the Lion City, there are also Ah Ges amd Ah Jies
who are regconised for their professional abilities. Countable by fingers there are Huang
Wen Yong, Li Nanxing, Xie Shao Guang, Chen Hanwei, Christopher Lee, Xiang Yun, Zoe Tay, Huang Biren and Fann Wong.
This group of people is of a special class with great reputation in the Lion City. However their achievement
did not appear in a moment. First they have to be judged, evaluated and approved by audience.
U channel's earlier poll of Ah Jies and the emergence of "4th generation Ah Jies" are
misinterpretations of the definition of "Ah Ges", "Ah Jies"
First, we have to clearly know, star idols may not be associated with "Ah Ges", "Ah Jies". You need not have a beautiful face ( good looks of course is
additional asset), but acting skills must be good. Besides there is the artiste's personal aura. This does not depend on external appearance, but it is an
indescribable charm that exudes from within.
The "Ah Ges", "Ah Jies" in the acting circle did not come by 'luck' (getting this super
position immediately on entering"). Half their experience is gained
through tuning and testing by passing time so that they still stand proud like the "pine
trees" amidst storm and snow.
As the saying goes, "one step one footprint". The journeys of "Ah Ges and "Ah Jies"
to stardom depend on the spirit of continuous learning and improving so that
they rise from the lows to highs.
"Star quality" is developed over time
Their "air of star quality" and "personal aura" are the results of testing over time.
The media by wrongly defining the terms of "Ah Ge", "Ah Jie" is just like the impatient farmers who
want their young crop grow taller quickly. For the sake of profit (achieving the aim of publicity),
they pull the young seedlings up so that they can grow faster. In the end the seedlings
will die (the artiste's career also end fast).
Beautiful titles are not encouragement but boost
for the human ego.
Those who feel they are not up to it will avoid the beautiful crown. But for those who are
vain at heart, they may sink into the illusion of praise and forget the need to work hard.
"Trusting approval" is another name for "Ah Ges' "Ah Jies". This means
an artiste who meets the criteria will be accepted and crowned " Ah Ge" , "Ah Jie"
On the other hand, those who wear big hats that don't fit the size of their heads, will definitely become laughing
stock.
So, when talking about "Ah Jies" and "Ah Ges" the media should never "misuse" and "over-use" but they should "use correctly and
appropriately", so that they will not be questioned by others.
