HW 26: notes page 499, 508-510 Do questions 4-9 Show work. Then do #40 and 41 on page 517  (notes are on CONCENTRATION, MOLALITY, MOLARITY
In Class present your problem with the group. Remember, Teachers ask their students questions to find out if the students understand. The Rubric is on the Board: A - Great Teaching, B-OKay teaching, C-Students understood, but could not teach, D- Students tried, but didn't understand and couldn't teach. F- Students didn't even try.
HW 27: Each student was assigned a letter. The letter represents a topic in Chapter 23. Unfortunately, our book does not do a good job explaining the Arrhenius definition of acids and bases, so you will have to use MODERN CHEMISTRY or the Internet.
A: Electrolyte: What is it? From what types of compounds are they formed? What are some common household electrolytes? Explain why it is dangerous to swim during a lightning storm (Why is this related to electrolytes?)?
B:  Dissociation:What is it? What compounds does dissociation refer to? Why is dissociation related to pH? What does pH measure?
C:  Acid: What are these? How are they named? What pH range is characteristic of this type of compound? What is the difference between a strong acid and a weak acid?
D:  Base: What are these? How are they named? What pH range is characteristic of this type of compound? What is the difference between a strong base and a weak base?
E:  Salts: What are these? How are they named? What pH range is characteristic of this type of compound? What is the difference between a strong electrolyte and a weak electrolyte
