In October 2003, We were glad to see how many news broadcasts and talk-shows mentioned Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  At the same time We were a little saddened that during September, Childhood Cancer Awareness month,
chidhood cancer had not recieved one single mention on any of the same shows.

Children suffering, is a very uncomfortable thing for people to think or talk about.  Consequently, the media tends to sweep the issue under the carpet.

We began to feel very sorry for ourselves and wondered when someone would rectify this problem.  
Suddenly, We realized We had no right to complain about the problem if We were not part of the solution.
We are certain that with a few nudges in the right direction, we can show the media the error of their ways.

We believe in the old addage
THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE OIL....

CHILDHOOD CANCER IS ABOUT TO BECOME THE NEXT SQUEAKY WHEEL.
It is so hard to connect with other CHEMO PARENTS if we do not meet in clinic.  There is strength in numbers.  We can support each other in times of need.  There is also might in numbers, together we can achieve what we need:
*RECOGNITION
*INCREASED FUNDING
*GREATER UNDERSTANDING
*BETTER PUBLIC AWARENESS
*INCREASED EDUCATION
If everyone participates just a little, just enough, we can tip the scales in our direction. We are asking for your support and help.
THESE ARE OUR CHILDREN.....IF WE DON"T ADVOCATE FOR THEM
