Scalywag
(Before)
Years ago, the Scallywag was owned by an old friend named Kevin Meadows.  Kevin called her "Basket Case".  Then, some time in 2003, Kevin sold her to Mike.  Mike had the hull professionally refinished in 2004.  The hull was scraped, sanded, and repainted. The lazarette was filled in and the engine mounted to the new transom.  Pictures below:
How she looked as Basket Case:

Mike never renamed her.
Here's how she looked in July 2004:
The Scallywag, though sporting a new hull had been gutted in (I think) an attempt to make her light for racing.  The interior needed a ton of work to make her a comfortable weekend cruiser.  This is what she looked like after a week of cleaning:

At any rate, I bought the boat for a few thousand dollars in September 2006.  To read the rest of the story, you'll have to see my projects page and ship's log.
