2/2 NBC - About Us
2d Battalion, 2d Marines' NBC is a small section dedicated to the survivability of our fellow Marines.  We train and equip over 950 Marines for world-wide operations in contaminated environments.
Of course, instruction is only a small part of what we do.  There's gear to be inventoried and maintained.  There's radiac and electronic equipment to be calibrated.  Time permitting we practice downwind radiological and chemical fallout prediction.
We review JWARN and other professional PME.  We even coordinate with other units and civil organizations for training (i.e. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the Chemical/ Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF)).
When not at work, we play hard too.  We're a family oriented bunch, enjoying a variety of activities (horseback riding to youth sports).  Favorite pastimes are football (Go Bills!), water-sports (boating, fishing, etc) and computers.
A good summation is: "We work hard when we have to...we play hard when we can".

Small Section.....BIG RESPONSIBILITY!
