She was the youngest child of Andrea & Kevin Parkinson who live in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
When Chelsey was 5 days old it was discovered that she didn't have a thyroid gland, which meant that she had to take tablets every day for the rest of her life. To make sure she was getting the right dose of tablets she had to go to the hospital & have blood taken. She was a very brave little girl & when she was offered a numbing ointment she would always say "no" then watch while they took the blood!
Chelsey always had a smile on her face, even when her front teeth came out & left her with a toothless grin. We were joking with her just a couple of days before she died, saying how she would have to have soup to eat while she was on holiday as she soon wouldn't be able to chew anything!
