CLICK FOR SJSU ATHLETICS
My senior year of high school I was persued by soccer coach Phillipe Blin.  I decided to accept his offer of a soccer scholarship and attend San Jose State University in the fall of 1996.  It was there that I met one of my best friends, Alicia Elemen.  Alicia and I both played in the defensive line up and had knee injuries, so, we spent hours together in the training room before and after each practice and game.

My first year at SJSU I remained undeclar- ed in a major.  I explored the idea of persuing a degree in Biology to become an orthopedist, but realized quickly that science was not my field.  My second year of studies I declared Liberal Studies as my major.

San Jose State boasts a student population of 30,000+.  Professors taught large classes and I found it hard to meet people outside of the athletic facilities.  Although I enjoyed the sport-minded focus of SJSU and the positive treatment of athletes by the administration, I decided to look into transfering to a smaller University in the fall of 1998.
