Helpful Hints

This is just a collection of things I have discovered, or been taught by my family and friends.

Laundry

	Use a little (� cup or less) granulated dishwasher detergent in your whites, but DO NOT put any colored garments in the load. The detergent acts as an extremely strong bleaching agent, particularly on blue colored garments, however, I have discovered it will bleach any stain out of a white garment.
	Ironing is a bit of a hassle, however, using a fine mist of water will make the creases stand out better and remove the wrinkles faster.

Jewelry

To clean jewelry, use a small soft bristled toothbrush, on any stones other than pearls, and any metal, and use either toothpaste (paste NOT gel) or window cleaner. Always be gentle and wash the jewelry well.

Hair

Mayonaise will make dry hair soft and shiny, but is not that good on people with normal or oily hair. This treatment is good on hair that has been treated with colorant or waving.
